Cardiology

The cardiology department of our clinic began its work in 2015. During this time, the number of cardiologists has doubled.

 What have we achieved during this period?

• We can examine our patients with modern equipment (ECHOCG, chest x-ray, ECG, troponin testing, etc.);

• All treatment regimens used by veterinary cardiologists are carefully considered and as modern as possible;

• A unified database of clients and our unified approach to treatment allow you to control the patient and his condition, even if the doctor is away;

• Close relationship with the intensive care unit allows owners of pets with cardiac diseases to contact the clinic around the clock and receive timely assistance;

• All doctors are annually promoted within the framework of foreign and Ukrainian conferences;

• Department staff interact with colleagues from other clinics who redirect patients for examination;

• International certification of dogs and cats for the control of heart disease.

The life of each of the pets diagnosed with heart failure is a struggle not only for the owner, but also for every veterinary cardiologist. Almost none of the diseases of the heart we can not cure completely, but we do our best to ensure that our patients live as long and comfortably as possible.

How to prepare for a visit to a veterinary cardiologist:

- Pre-register, please, for an appointment by phone or on the clinic's website;

- It is preferable that the animal is brought to the appointment by the owner, or a person involved in direct care and treatment, especially if the problem is long-term;

- Do not forget to take records of previous examinations (chest x-ray, ECG, ECHOCG), if any;

- Discuss in advance at home the answers to the questions: when did the symptoms appear, what treatment was performed and for how long, what drugs were used and at what dosage, did it get better after the therapy.

If the animal is frightened and may show aggression, this may interfere with a full cardiac examination. Please be prepared to restrain the pet yourself and/or wear a muzzle.
