WHY ARE DOCTORS NOT ALL-POWERFUL?

A good doctor is worth its weight in gold. Everyone understands this and can spend years searching for the best one, and when they find one, they will expect miracles. Trust certainly plays a key role in building a relationship between a doctor and a patient (with the patient's owner in the first place, as we are talking about veterinary medicine). But we shouldn't give doctors the status of omnipotence, because even decades of constant training and improvement of their own knowledge do not allow them to cover the ENTIRE spectrum in order to implement it in practice.

- Why?

- The answer is simple. Living organisms have an incredibly complex structure that no one has ever managed to fully comprehend. Unlike human-designed equipment, living things do not have operating instructions and design schemes that can be used to eliminate a technical failure by a specialist.

However, returning to doctors, we would like to note that a good one, and indeed one who gives 100% to his work, is, first of all, a specialist who strives for continuous development, self-improvement and professional growth!

Such traits are typical for our doctors, as Zoolux has been conducting many educational events for both beginners and highly specialized specialists for decades. Acquiring new knowledge in a specific area of veterinary medicine provides more opportunities to successfully apply it in practice.

The personnel structure of our clinic is not based on the principle of competition, but on the principle of maximum productivity for the patient.

Given that the disease and the degree of its progression are determined by a combination of many factors: (type of animal, breed, weight, genetics, age, nutrition), the collaboration of doctors of different specializations provides a significant advantage in increasing the chances of saving the lives of four-legged animals. However, none of these specialists will deliberately inflict pain or use drugs that will kill the animal.

Since most often, patients do not come to us on the first day of illness, the main disease already acquires a number of concomitant diseases.

It is not uncommon for pet owners to start self-medicating at the first signs of illness, look for advice on the Internet, buy unnecessary medications, and in short, waste time. And only when all previous actions have proved to be in vain do people start looking for a doctor. The doctor prescribes 100,500 tests, examinations, and ultrasounds, but also says that too much time has passed and the animal's condition has reached critical. It needs resuscitation and intensive care in a hospital.

Here, of course, the question arises: why is it so expensive?

- It can be done cheaper. For example, you can use lower-quality drugs, instruments, and material that can tear or cause rejection during surgery. You can save money on anesthesiologists and use an assistant with less or no experience as an assistant. You can use heavy sedatives instead of mild sedatives, after which the animal will take longer to recover from anesthesia and have more severe consequences. You can treat without a full diagnosis, as the heart tells you, and when operating on tumors, remove half of the organs (to be sure).

- Or you can use expensive equipment, conduct a full diagnosis, find out the exact localization of the disease and its nature. The technical means and equipment used for this purpose are the same in veterinary medicine as in humane medicine. Accordingly, the cost of procedures cannot be less than in human medical facilities. If the equipment is used EXCLUSIVELY in veterinary medicine, its cost will be even higher due to its uniqueness.

- An important pricing factor is EDUCATION. And it is not only about a higher education institution of the relevant profile. A doctor who claims to be a high-class professional constantly attends seminars, participates in international and local workshops to improve his or her skills. And yes, they spend a lot of money on this.

The combination of these factors affects the pricing of modern high-end veterinary medicine. But even big money does not give big guarantees (think of Steve Jobs). Disease can defeat both money and highly skilled doctors "from God".

In veterinary medicine, everything is much more complicated, because patients do not talk and do not show where it hurts and what exactly... The best thing to do is not to waste time, because it is inevitable. Don't rely on your own strength or knowledge - it can be very expensive, but it has no value in the fight for your pet.

At the very first symptoms that are not the norm of life, contact a doctor, not the Internet, because only qualified and TIMELY help can save lives.

Remember: it is WE who are responsible for those we have tamed, and no one else but us.
